The Prairieland Animal Welfare Center is operated by the Knox County Humane Society at 1855 Windish Drive, Galesburg. The Shelter is the only state-licensed Animal Shelter in Knox County and operates as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals.
