Poppy is a sweet little pup, that came in as a stray. Although she had a loving personality, it was obvious that she was also in pain. Her right eye was swollen and protruding. After being examined by our veterinarian, it was deemed necessary that Poppy's right eye must be removed to give her pain relief. During her spay, the eye was removed, and Poppy was given a second chance at life! She was then adopted into a loving home.
Many people do not realize that the Knox County Humane Society must pay for all veterinary care and that many animals come through our doors requiring specialized treatment.
